StatGlass is a menu bar system monitor for Apple Silicon Macs that keeps history. It shows CPU, GPU, memory, power and sensors, network, disk and battery once a second, and keeps local history, with up to 30 days available depending on your size limit and recorded activity. When the fans spun up at 3pm, you can scroll back and see which process did it.

StatGlass is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 license.

What you need

An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) on macOS 26 or newer. Intel Macs aren't supported because the power and sensor readings come from interfaces only Apple Silicon has. Install StatGlass covers the download and the first launch.

Where to go next

The menu bar and windows page explains the popover, the dashboard and the menu bar styles. What StatGlass measures lists every module. History and storage covers how long data is kept and how much disk it uses, and Monitor another Mac covers watching other machines over SSH.
